Problem

Roger Gentner Enterprises is a Montreal based company that works extensively with Titanium. Gentner Enterprises called DiversiTech to help solve air quality and safety issues in their deburring department. Due to space limitations, they required 2 operators to work at the same table. They were also concerned with the combustible nature of Titanium dust and wanted to make sure that they had direct access to filter cartridges in case of fire.

The Solution

A specially designed 5ft. x 4ft. Downdraft table was fabricated. The table included integrated 45 degree overhangs on opposite sides so that operators could work on either side of the table. Steel mesh prefilters were added to minimize the risk of fire and as well as a rubber mat to prevent scraping of the finished product. A side access fire door was also added so operators could react quickly to problems inside the table.
